Breathe In, Breathe Out: The Lungs Who Loved Fresh Air
Inside your chest live Luna and Lenny the Lungs, the air-loving twins who never stop working together.
Every moment they shout,
“Deep breath, everybody!”
When you breathe in, Luna opens wide and pulls in fresh air like she’s smelling warm cookies straight out of the oven.
The oxygen from that air hops into the blood like excited passengers boarding a bus, ready for their big trip around the body.
When you breathe out, Lenny pushes out the old air—like blowing out birthday candles that never end. Sometimes he even jokes,
“Make a wish!”
Luna and Lenny also help your body talk louder when you shout, sing sweeter when you sing, and calm down when you take slow, quiet breaths.
Together, the twins keep your body filled with fresh oxygen, puffing in and out all day long.
They giggle,
“Who needs a break? We’ve got air to share!”
And that’s how your lungs keep the whole body breathing happy!
