Mighty Milo: The Cell’s Power Maker

Before the Story Begins…

Every cell in your body needs energy to stay alive—and that energy comes from tiny helpers called mitochondria. They act like little power plants, turning food and oxygen into the fuel that keeps every part of you working.

Now, let’s meet one of these mighty power-makers… Milo the Mitochondrion.

It's Milo the Mitochondrion -

Deep inside a busy cell lived Milo the Mitochondrion, a tiny bean-shaped worker with a BIG job.

“I’m the powerhouse around here! Time to make some energy!”

Fuel Goes In… Energy Comes Out!

Milo gobbled up bits of sugar and oxygen.

“Crunch, crunch—let’s make some power!”

With a bright spark, he released energy the cell needed to move, grow, and stay alive.

Teamwork Mode

Milo wasn’t alone—hundreds of mitochondria worked beside him.

“Power crew, let’s hustle!” he called.

Together they kept the cell charged up like tiny glowing batteries.

When the Cell Needs More

When the cell had a big job—running fast, healing, or growing—Milo got even busier.

“No worries, cell! I’ll boost the power!”

He split into two mitochondria so the team could make extra energy.

Staying Strong

Inside his swirly inner folds, Milo checked his parts carefully.

“Healthy mitochondria, healthy cell,” he said proudly as he kept making energy, minute after minute.

And so, day after day, Milo the Mitochondrion powered everything the cell did—

proving that even the tiniest workers can keep life going strong.
